Morning rides through the seasons
- October to April: the most comfortable season. Around the 7 AM start the sun is only just above the dunes in winter, so the colours are spectacular. Bring a light jacket in December and January – desert mornings can be surprisingly cold.
- May to September: the morning slot is the best way to ride in summer. By 9 AM the heat is building, but at 7 AM it is still manageable. Drink water before you start and wear light, long clothing.

Tips for an early start

- Drink a glass of water before pickup, and sip again at the meeting point.
